About River Pointe & West End Church
At River Pointe & West End Church, we know you want to feel hope for the future. The reality is life is hard, and it can leave you feeling anxious, lost and alone. We all need a community that supports us as we navigate life.
River Pointe & West End Church is a safe place where real people do life together and discover how hopeful life can be in a relationship with Christ.
Our story
River Pointe & West End Church (RPC|WE) was founded in 1996 with the vision to reach people who are far from God and continues on mission today across multiple campuses in the Houston and surrounding areas.
1996 | River Pointe Church (RPC) was founded by Patrick and Lisa Kelley and four other families.
2005 | After being portable for nine years, RPC opened the Richmond campus.
2012 | RPC added a campus in Missouri City at Elkins High School.
2013 | RPC launched an Online campus.
2015 | RPC added a campus in Houston at St. Thomas High School. Soon after, the members of West End Baptist Church voted to merge with RPC. West End Church (WE) was founded and had their first service in 2016.
2019 | The Missouri City campus opened after seven years of portable church.
2021 | The Coffee House at West End opened on our West End campus.
2022 | RPC|WE launched a new campus inside the W. F. Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, TX in partnership with God Behind Bars.

Our leadership
Our Senior Pastor
Chad Bruegman is the Senior Pastor of River Pointe & West End Church.
Chad gave his life to Christ when he was 23 years old and has been a pastor for 23 years, 14 of which were spent as the Founding Pastor at Red Rocks Church in Denver, Colorado. During his time at Red Rocks, he and his team witnessed the church grow from humble gatherings of 18 people to over 15,000 people attending each weekend at one of six campuses and three satellite campuses, located in Colorado State Prisons (in partnership with God Behind Bars).
Chad’s a proud husband to Rachel and dad to Jude, Jane, Benjamin and Cruz. He’s obsessed with fantasy football, has eaten more Dairy Queen blizzards than he cares to admit, is most at peace when mowing his yard and could eat Mexican food for every meal. He’s also a die hard San Francisco 49ers fan.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors serves as our oversight board and assists our Management Team in providing spiritual and administrative leadership for the church. This team assists to ensure the health of the ministry of the church as well the creation and implementation of our ministry strategy. The team meets at least monthly to discussion operations, personnel, finances and strategy of our mission.
The Board of Directors consists of a diverse group of volunteer professionals along with the Management Team. They have careers in a variety of backgrounds including finance, law, human resources and professional counseling.
