The story behind the song: Senior Pastor of River Pointe & West End Church, Patrick Kelley, was moved by Psalm 40 and began to reflect on God’s grace and goodness in times of trouble. Patrick was so thankful that God even saved him from himself. Inspired by this, Patrick wrote a poem. Based on his writing, Chad and Jacob put together a recording session of RPC|WE artists to record it as a surprise for Patrick.
